Toothpaste price per ounce: compare before you buy
A smaller tube can cost less today, but more each time you restock. Compare the ounces and the money leaving your wallet. Both matter.
Start with the whole package
Divide the package price by its total net-weight ounces. For a multipack, multiply the tube count by the ounces in each tube first. Use ounces, not fluid ounces. Read the size on the actual listing, not just the picture.

The multipack costs less per ounce, but needs $6.00 upfront. If that crowds out another essential, the single tube may fit this trip better.
Compare toothpaste your family actually uses
Check fluoride, intended age and any sensitivity needs before comparing prices. Different formulas are not automatically substitutes. The cheapest tube is not useful if it does not suit your family.
